Charlie Nevins is an 18 year-old filmmaker and photographer from Los Angeles. Charlie discovered his love for moviemaking at the age of 7 when he made his first movie using the front facing camera of his home desktop. Since then, he has continued to hone his craft at Crossroads School in Santa Monica, where he is president of the Crossroads Film Club. Charlie has also developed a passion for analogue street photography. He shoots, develops, and prints many of his photographs using his school’s darkroom.

Charlie has always been devoted to public service. In middle school, he was one of the founders of the UNICEF Young Ambassadors (a youth fundraising team run under UNICEF). Currently, he is the President of the Remember Us Teen Board, an organization that connects Holocaust survivors and teens through digital and in person events, as well as one-on-one phone calls. He is also a filmmaker and intern at The Righteous Conversations Project, an organization that seeks to keep the flame of Holocaust memory alive through art and film. During his free time, Charlie enjoys reading, watching movies, and writing poetry.
